housesnowfall soon We split and stacked wood at the little cabin, drank hot cider from tin mugs, burned brush in a bonfire, and stomped through the stream. Being at a cabin makes everything right. Very curious about that red berry-like creature/thing?
jack in the pulpit seeds!
Thanks. I will have to see if we have these on the West Coast!
Lovely. These pics make autumn feel alright.
that’s it. i’m coming to vermont to live with you.
p.s. little boots!!!
still can’t believe how different the landscape is from ny. photos are really lovely tho!
omg. this looks so cozy and romantic!! like the *perfect* fall weekend getaway.
I really do need to spend more time up there. It’s so, so good.
Every time I get excited about the warmer weather here, northern hemisphere bloggers make me want it to be cold all over again. Looove those gumboots.
Absolutely lovely. I can’t believe the trees there are mostly bare, and it’s not even November. It looks like winter! Here we’ve just started getting color in a smattering of trees. How warped my perspective of “autumn” is.
so beautiful. i do wish we had seasons here or woods. such wonderful details of nature.
So idyllic! I’m just enjoying the hell out of our little fireplace. My first fireplace ever! Can’t think of how I ever spent a Fall without one.
& you’re in Philly now?? I lived there from 93-95, and miss it sometimes…I’m sure it’s changed so much.
I love the photo of the leaves and the one of the little boy with wheelbarrow.
such enchanting images! it all seems lovely.
Sigh. When can I move home?
Tomorrow! I seriously want a little compound of people I ♥ all around. Making friends is hard. No time!
Amazing, amazing, amazing.
