I have a FEVER for a navy leather Chesterfield! Unfortunately, it’s like the unicorn of sofas – added to the fact that I know NOTHING about what brands are actually quality in this field, I don’t even know where to begin to look. Also, I don’t have 5 kazillion dollars to spend on a sofa.
I did email Old Hickory Tannery but haven’t heard a peep. Where can I find the classic sofa of my dreams? I can’t stop thinking of winter evenings curled in the corner of one with a blanket and a book. Maybe a nice vintage one will just fall in my lap and I can dye it navy, right? RIGHT?
Related: A designer at my work found his wife’s Pinterest the other day, and said “Damn, she sure thinks we’re going to have an expensive house one day.” Tell me about it. Damn you, fancy desires.

Holy shit. I never thought I wanted a leather sofa until I clicked over to your link. I particularly like the little love-seat one near the bottom of the page.
So also I just noticed the link to Emily Henderson’s site was a post from like a week ago. COSMIC LEATHER SOFAS ON THE BRAIN.
Gimme them all!
This houseblogger [ http://renovationtherapyblog.com ] used to be obsessed with them. I had never heard of Chesterfield couches/sofas until I started reading her blog. http://renovationtherapyblog.com/?s=chesterfield
Maybe she has some hints as to where to find one?
Here ya go.

Look for 8-way hand-tied springs. There are over 3,000 sofas on the site.
Bassett has a nice chesterfield… check them out!
