Found wine boxes + Sunday walk to the nursery = portable succulent garden. We have a few more boxes – kitchen herbs would be nice!

So adorable! One question: did you drill holes into the bottom for drainage? The wood might be porous enough that you could get away with not doing it…just wondering!

Nope. The box is loosely nailed together and doesn’t hold liquid, and we used a sandy succulent mix, so the water just sluices through to the corners and out.
