Tata Harper Giveaway

I love when Vermont companies pop up and surprise you – sometimes living here feels like it’s all cows and ice cream, but then you get a glimmer of glamour through the pine trees. I picked up the Aromatic Irritability Treatment from Tata Harper as a birthday present to myself, and have been wearing it as a perfume. With chamomile, bergamot & patchouli, it’s so soothing. I’ll admit that it was a impulse purchase very driven by Vermont pride!

Tata Harper products are 100% natural and non-toxic, and many ingredients in her products are grown right here on her farm in Vermont. Research and development, formulations, packaging, marketing and distribution are done in-house. Super inspiring – as is her blog, with tips on everything from beauty to mindful living.

They’ve graciously offered to give away one of their Deluxe Beauty Sets (worth $65) to a lucky reader. It’s the perfect introduction to the Tata Harper line & a luxurious treat for post-holiday skin!

To enter, leave a comment letting me know what you do to de-stress and feel beautiful! Giveaway will end Sunday, January 13th.

Giveaway is CLOSED! Patience is the winner! (That is a funny thing to type.)

I let my kids pick out my outfit and then they almost always tell me how great I look (even when I look insane). Also, I have my hair stylist do a gloss treatment when my hair looks icky.

What a special offer! Thank you. I have been trying to convince myself I’m worth her exquisite products. The Irritability Treatment is on my list. My favorite way to relax is a long hot soak in my cast-iron tub. Never fails. Thanks for the opportunity!

Wearing extra eye liner on the days when it seems difficult to face the world with out it. And candy colored toes from a pedicure. When I look down in the shower they look like boiled sweets, and remind me to have some fun!

Oh, amazing! I have been wanting to try this line.
Lately, to destress, I have taken to a combination of any number of these things: baths, steam rooms, saunas, swimming, hiking, yoga, meditation, an Aztec Secret mask followed by Caudalie Divine Oil, a glass of prosecco/Domaine de Canton cocktail/coconut chai rooibos, some time under a down comforter surrounded by pillows. all over body oil or Pangea lotion, a coconut oil hair mask, an engrossing book and some quiet music.

I wish I could say that I do yoga or go on long walks to de-stress, but it’s winter in Manhattan, and it gets dark and gloomy so early, and I find myself doing those things way less than I should. My surefire technique for feeling instantly better: hugging my cats.

Lately I’m having an eyeshadow renaissance and sometimes I just put on a ton of eye makeup to wear around the house. Self-manicuring ticks all of the boxes: relaxing, beautifying, and frequently creative. And I bike all winter to keep the stress at bay but baths and cats also help.

I understand if you’re not leaving this open to international entrants, but nonetheless: just finished doing some yoga now. Nothing else makes me feel quite so deliciously relaxed. And since I’m such a wound-up person, I’m glad I’ve worked that out! I also love a really gentle facial exfoliator (even if it’s just sugar and olive oil) – it’s a very fast, easy thing to do in the shower or whatever, but makes my face feel so soft and smooth.

Getting cozy and reading something on the couch or, weather permitting, the front porch is essential for me. I work from home, so finding the time to completely set aside the work stress that can surround me is pretty important for my balance. That said, a steam room or a romp in the sack sound pretty wonderful, too. :)

Taking a steaming hot bath in the evening is my go-to remedy for stress. I like to add epsom salts, sesame oil and a few drops of lavender and geranium rose essential oils into the water. Adding the sesame oil moisturizes my skin and the salts and EOs really help my muscles relax so I sleep like a baby.
