Tata Harper Giveaway

I love when Vermont companies pop up and surprise you – sometimes living here feels like it’s all cows and ice cream, but then you get a glimmer of glamour through the pine trees. I picked up the Aromatic Irritability Treatment from Tata Harper as a birthday present to myself, and have been wearing it as a perfume. With chamomile, bergamot & patchouli, it’s so soothing. I’ll admit that it was a impulse purchase very driven by Vermont pride!

Tata Harper products are 100% natural and non-toxic, and many ingredients in her products are grown right here on her farm in Vermont. Research and development, formulations, packaging, marketing and distribution are done in-house. Super inspiring – as is her blog, with tips on everything from beauty to mindful living.

They’ve graciously offered to give away one of their Deluxe Beauty Sets (worth $65) to a lucky reader. It’s the perfect introduction to the Tata Harper line & a luxurious treat for post-holiday skin!

To enter, leave a comment letting me know what you do to de-stress and feel beautiful! Giveaway will end Sunday, January 13th.

Giveaway is CLOSED! Patience is the winner! (That is a funny thing to type.)

I let my kids pick out my outfit and then they almost always tell me how great I look (even when I look insane). Also, I have my hair stylist do a gloss treatment when my hair looks icky.

What a special offer! Thank you. I have been trying to convince myself I’m worth her exquisite products. The Irritability Treatment is on my list. My favorite way to relax is a long hot soak in my cast-iron tub. Never fails. Thanks for the opportunity!

When I lived in Ireland a long walk in the mountains always did the trick. Now I live in Manhattan and am struggling to find any way of de-stressing!

I go for a long walk, come home, make some cocoa and get in bed with a good book! Nothing like that kind of a day makes me feel more relaxed and that my life is fantastic…..

Wearing extra eye liner on the days when it seems difficult to face the world with out it. And candy colored toes from a pedicure. When I look down in the shower they look like boiled sweets, and remind me to have some fun!

Count me in! I don’t know if it makes me feel *beautiful*, but once in a while I like to do a coconut-mint foot treatment — I think it is Burt’s Bees. It smells so nice!

Hmmm, to destress, I bake :)
Drinking tea while reading a book and sitting by the window also helps.

Oh, amazing! I have been wanting to try this line.
Lately, to destress, I have taken to a combination of any number of these things: baths, steam rooms, saunas, swimming, hiking, yoga, meditation, an Aztec Secret mask followed by Caudalie Divine Oil, a glass of prosecco/Domaine de Canton cocktail/coconut chai rooibos, some time under a down comforter surrounded by pillows. all over body oil or Pangea lotion, a coconut oil hair mask, an engrossing book and some quiet music.

It’s a little cliche, but taking a bath with a glass of wine, some lavender chocolate, and a book seems to do the trick for me. :)

I second the extra make up/hair oomph. And also, a blank piece of paper and some doodling always makes me feel like Jim Henson, but a relaxed Jim Henson :)

I attend a yoga-pilates-ballet barre class. The stretching and breathing help me de-stress, and the workout helps me feel healthy (and beautiful)! You’ve really got to love Vermont products, they are always the best!

De-stress = Going to the local spa for a steam cave & lounge around as long as we can.

I wish I could say that I do yoga or go on long walks to de-stress, but it’s winter in Manhattan, and it gets dark and gloomy so early, and I find myself doing those things way less than I should. My surefire technique for feeling instantly better: hugging my cats.

    Ooh, fancy!

I take really long, scalding showers. The kind that leave your arms and legs bright pink.

Lately I’m having an eyeshadow renaissance and sometimes I just put on a ton of eye makeup to wear around the house. Self-manicuring ticks all of the boxes: relaxing, beautifying, and frequently creative. And I bike all winter to keep the stress at bay but baths and cats also help.

I eagerly read the comments because I am the worst at de-stressing. The one that works the best for me is exercise but I do not employ it enough.

I get a foot massage, drink lots of tea, and read my favorite poets. I wish I had time for this more often 😉

I’ve always wanted to try her products! I’ve only heard wonderful things about them…

I find that a hard workout following by a very hot bubble bath, filled with lots of epson salts, is the ultimate way for me to de-stress. A glass of wine helps too 😉

You always have such lovely giveaways! One of my favorite ways to relax and feel beautiful is… to go get a haircut. Since it only happens twice a year (because I’m lazy), I walk out feeling so light and fancy!

Hm, that sounds like a relaxing scent – perfumes have been giving me headaches lately so I might have to give this a try.

To relax I like an enormous pot of green tea, a dish full of olives, a very good book and a completely quite house.

I understand if you’re not leaving this open to international entrants, but nonetheless: just finished doing some yoga now. Nothing else makes me feel quite so deliciously relaxed. And since I’m such a wound-up person, I’m glad I’ve worked that out! I also love a really gentle facial exfoliator (even if it’s just sugar and olive oil) – it’s a very fast, easy thing to do in the shower or whatever, but makes my face feel so soft and smooth.

    I love Tata Harper!

I go to the water when I’m stressed. It soothes me like nothing else can, and since I live on an island, it’s pretty easy to get to!

Great giveaway. To de-stress, I do an intense bootcamp workout, three times a week. It burns a ton of energy, makes me feel strong, and it helps me sleep well at night. Thanks for the chance to win! xo.

  38. Jennifer
    January 8, 2013 at 5:22 pm (3 years ago)

To feel good I usually exercise and try to eat healthy. To de-stress I like to sit down and draw or do some crafts whilst listening to music (and if I am really lucky, I get to eat some ice-cream too!)

Lately my de-stress go to is just grabbing my ipod and taking a really long walk through the city. January is always so quiet around here compared to the insanity of the holidays, and it just makes me feel better.

Oooh…these are fun to read! I do a long , hot bath, blow out my hair and add a little curl, make up my face. Something about feeling all clean an polished makes things feel better.

  44. Pam
    January 9, 2013 at 3:42 pm (3 years ago)

Tea, candles, bath, book – in any order. I also really love infusions of oatstraw, lemon balm, lavender, chamomile, or tulsi – in any combo.

I feel beautiful when I think about being older, and looking back at myself as I am now. Trying to appreciate who I am and how I feel in the present, and honor the radiant flaws.

Getting cozy and reading something on the couch or, weather permitting, the front porch is essential for me. I work from home, so finding the time to completely set aside the work stress that can surround me is pretty important for my balance. That said, a steam room or a romp in the sack sound pretty wonderful, too. :)

Wow, that irritability treatment sounds amazing! This is a great giveaway, thank you!

Taking a steaming hot bath in the evening is my go-to remedy for stress. I like to add epsom salts, sesame oil and a few drops of lavender and geranium rose essential oils into the water. Adding the sesame oil moisturizes my skin and the salts and EOs really help my muscles relax so I sleep like a baby.

What a great giveaway! I’ve heard a lot about this line and would love to try it. To destress I pick at my nails, which can often be the opposite of beautifying, but I’m really addicted to it. To really destress AND beautify, I love going to Pilates. I have a great studio in Brisbane, and it makes me look forward to exercise. Thank you!

I’ve heard so many great things about Tata Harper products – the packaging is also lovely. I just moved from a small town in the midwest to a huge city. Every day is both stressful and rewarding. I moved with my little bird, a cockatiel and take him out of his cage the moment I get home. We watch movies and read blogs together, and that is how I destress.
