Slowly, slowly. Between family times and the commute to work and a brutal cold we’ve been trying to beat, the last month (we’ve been here a month!!) has flown by. I’m still feeling foggy and strange, not as sharp as I’d like. I think it’s the general disorientation of moving 3000 miles to a whole new world. Hopefully will fall into a pace that feels more comfortable soon.
Last weekend we painted the sickly matte peach-pink paint in the bedroom, to Benjamin Moore “Steam.” It suits my zen-white-room need just fine.
Thrifted this little lamp, and the old folding chair below.
& the boys have their own shelves in the built in bookcase.

the bedroom looks so airy and calming. i can’t imagine it peach-pink, oh god.
(also, in the two whole rolls of film i’ve developed from that camera, that picture still remains the -only one- with mystery light happenings. <3)

I don’t think what YOU do should still be called “thrifting”. Maybe “Robin Hooding from other dimensions”? “Time traveling cat burglar”? Your bedroom looks so pretty!

Man, I love the look of your new place! You have such great style, lady.
I totally know what you mean about the fogginess of a transition to a new place, I felt that way moving back to New Zealand and it took a bit longer than I thought it would to find my groove again. You seem really happy though, I’m so pleased! Hopefully the rural friend making is going well
