Quick trip to Davis this weekend, and the first in a series I’ve been meaning to do forever highlighting my amazing lady friends. The luminous and highly talented Miss Kai Smart agreed to touch up / completely renovate some very poor tattoos I had done in 2006. Note to self: never get just brown ink tattoos. They don’t work.
Holly & Michelle met me at Sweet Adeline and we loaded up with coffee and almond tea cakes, hopped in the rental car, and zipped up to warmth and sunshine and hippie cafes and goodness.
Kai’s made a muddy yick into a magical psychedelic wonder feather!
& this actually looks like a fern now, and not a ribbon!!

After tattooing, sushi & then back to their cozy sweet house for champagne, cakes & macarons from Miette, and blankets in the grass.
