igoogle – have heard of it, know the team who designed it, but havent playing with it.

i added learn irish + learn french (must get on top of this) widget-y gizmos to my igoogle page for learning new tongues (igoogle is weird, does anyone use this? i just started playing with it out of boredom). also trying to be more receptive to signs and opportunities. i am a tiny cave dwelling hide-y being. i should stop doing this, before i become crinkly and old and unchangeable.

Selene: Oh, clutter. It’s so cozy and so so frustrating. Ruby is having an open house for the IUH in May, so I am going to put out a vintage rack and invite people over for a vintage “salon” – hopefully move this stuff faster than the internets can! I want to come to your dinner party, will you make colcannon?

Jamie: that is so awesome, maybe it would help me like SF more. Nooo, I think I’m done with that city. But I’m loving Oakland and it’s so fun to find new cute things.

My new thing is that I started a blog called ilikechicago.com – which is forcing me to do 1 new thing each week in Chicago. I’m going to do it for one year, in hopes to have a better appreciation of the city, and then I’m going to pack my bags and get out!

I’m learning to stop prioritising everyone over myself, while also putting my family first. It’s an odd balance.
