Drew really nailed that accent of Edie's! I still don't know how I feel about them tampering with the Maysles work but I too am really interested in knowing about her younger life in NYC. I remember the first time I watched the documentary a few years ago; it's been haunting me ever since! Too bad I'll have to wait till it comes out on DVD though. ;) lol! She has the big domed forehead too. Good casting. The filmakers could've played the movie a couple ways- a weird creepy neglect scandal, or a gushy mother-daughter bonding film. Looks like it is being done as the latter. Interesting choice but not what I watched the original film for, to be sure.
