Wake up, wake up! That’s Sean hiding from the very idea of snow, while I run outside immediately. I love it so much, seeing the world frosted makes everything ok, magical. I’m ready to skip Halloween and go straight on to the holidays. Of course, this will all melt by tomorrow. But today, I’m cozying up with some hot cider. (& a to-d0 list a mile long, but somehow the scenery makes it ok.)
Now that is just magical. And now I’m pretty sure I should transplant to Vermont.
Beautiful! Wish I was there!
so pretty!
What a beautiful place you’ve moved to!
i am dyyiing. these look like victorian christmas cards! everything is better when the world is a pretty frosted cake. i’ve also almost entirely forgotten about halloween – last night i started my christmas shopping. hallo-what? today is really sunny over here, though. i think canada must be broken? so, i am just going to curl up and live inside this blog post, ok?
we’re totally getting the BBC victorian farm christmas to watch tonight.
i need to rewatch that! they also did a victorian pharmacy series that you should check out. recreated victorian potions and lotions and remedies! amazing.
Oh snow you powerful beautiful beast.
Wow!!
I’m usually alone in my love of snow. Of course it helps to be in a cozy house with a woodstove and a teapot. Your photos are gorgeous – oh, that shot of the houses on the river! Idyllic.
Deep envious sigh… I haven’t been in real snowy wonderland since I was 16 and we went to Yosemite.
beautiful photos! i love vermont.
magical. also i kind of love the name orbin.
So pretty. Sean is crazytown.
Ha, he loved it once we got outside, but it was pretty cute. “EVERYTHING IS WHITE. WHY IS IT LIGHT? I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE HEAVY. THIS IS REALLY HOW WINTER LOOKS?”
Oh, I just sighed out loud. Snow is perfect, it reminds me of new babies and new beginnings. It snowed the day I got home from hospital with the girls and it just kept snowing for the next month. It was heaven.
Being snugged up for a month with new babies while snow falls outside sounds like the best thing ever.
These photos are gorgeous! I love the one with the row of houses reflecting off the water. Beautiful.
Thank you for sharing these, they’re lovely!
Breathtakingly beautiful! And your photography as well – your eye keeps getting better and better. Wish I was there sharing some cider with you! xo
Ohhh magical. I wish I lived in a place where it snowed! Love the one of the cat 😉
Absolutely magical!
It’s official, I need to move to Vermont stat so we can be friends!
So pretty, and I’m really happy that I came across your space here today! xo
Your pictures look like the puzzles I used to work with my mom every holiday. So, so gorgeous.
I love your snowy photos and I can’t wait to get more. My little boy likes to sing “It’s a Marshmallow World” to me when it snows, which I love.
That is the cutest.
I love the way snow quiets the city. A blanket over the sound of traffic and busy-ness. It doesn’t snow much where I live, so I love it when it does. And love watching my dog eat big mouthfuls of snowbanks. She loves it, too.
Magical beyond words. Your photos are so stunning. I’m kind of losing it over here!
Vermont is sooooo beautiful, and I’m obsessed with your house! Those fancy iron railings and perfect windows! More, more, more please.
You absolutely make me want to move to Vermont. It is soooo lovely. Also – I would love some snow! It’s now 2 weeks until Christmas & still nothing. Boo.
There’s still a little left but I hope we get more before xmas. Wishes!
