I’ve had some amazing thrifting luck recently, including but not limited to: an Hermès scarf, a Ralph Lauren Collection hacking jacket (size 2!), fancy Italian velvet smoking slippers, Morgenthal Frederics horn sunglasses (seriously, what?), Lanvin ballet flats & brand new LL Bean driving mocs.
I’ll be keeping an eye out for: tiny tux jackets (check the boys section!), good white poplin shirts, cobalt everything, leopard, chunky gold accessories, signet rings. Also, bright silk shirts, bucket bags, and d’Orsay shoes – all big in the 80s, so super possible to thrift. I’m pretty burnt out on my lazy rural uniform of striped tees and jeans, so here’s some inspiration for my thrift store crawls this fall.

I’ve never been able to find a good fit in a button down (in any material). Do you have yours altered? Maybe I’m just not styling them right.? With broad shoulders and a short torso I always end up feeling like sponge bob with boobs.

I am trying to figure out this trip! I have a list of UES places, but the few I checked last time were $$$ and not that great. If I’m going to pay 60% of retail, I’m just going to shop new during the sales!
